What we do

The MIB committee organises ten or eleven events a year, including conference luncheons, company visits and cultural events, designed to bring members together and to facilitate exchanges between members and local professionals. Our Monday luncheons touch on a huge variety of topics. Over the years we have been privileged to welcome as speakers the CEO of Hublot, Jean-Claude Biver, Léonard Gianadda, President of the Gianadda Foundation in Martigny, the serial entrepreneur Patrick Delarive, and the late Claude Nobs, founding father of the Montreux Jazz Festival, to name but a few.

The origin of the MIB

The origin of the MIB

The Montreux International Business Club (MIB) was founded in 1993. Its mission has always been to foster and improve international contacts on the Swiss Riviera by inviting active (or retired) business professionals to join as members and to meet and exchange ideas on business and cultural issues.

Who we are

Currently the MIB is proud to count more than 100 members: an extraordinary melting pot of men and (increasingly) women of over a dozen nationalities, and with a variety of different occupations and backgrounds. Most of the monthly luncheon meetings take place on Mondays at the renowned Fairmont Le Montreux Palace Hotel and members are warmly encouraged to invite personal guests. In short, the MIB offers members a privileged opportunity to meet people of different origins, skills, backgrounds and careers, who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences.
